形式：had + been + verb-ing.

过去完成进行时是过去的现在完成进行时。请比较以下两个句子：

A) It has been raining all night, and the streets are still wet now. B) It had been raining all night, and the streets were still wet in the morning.

在A)句里，昨晚一整晚下雨，现在街头还是湿的。在B)句里，今早(也是过去)的街头也还是湿的，但现在已经干了。

值得注意的是，状态动词不能采用进行式。
